Kangaroo Lake / Mystic Park

Kangaroo Lake is most famous for 'Gorton Drive' named after former Australian Prime Minister, Sir John Gorton, who was born at Kangaroo Lake in 1911.

The lake is well-known for fishing and water sports with the caravan park right on the lake foreshore.

The hotel at Mystic Park is a popular location with visitors during the holiday periods.

Kangaroo Lake is home to Brown Brothers Vineyards along with plantings of stone fruit and table grapes. Brown Brothers have approximately 500ha of winegrapes planted in the Kerang Lakes area, producing varieties such as Crouchen, Cienna, Shiraz and Chardonnay.

The nearby Avoca Marshes provide an amazing array of wildlife and birdlife and are popular with bird enthusiasts and environmentalists.
